The 2020-21 academic year was truly remarkable. From a global pandemic to social unrest and beyond, our member colleges and universities were facing multiple challenges that required creativity and perseverance. This was especially true for community and civic engagement offices.  At a time when they were most needed, there were limitations on their ability to respond. However, they managed to find innovative ways to address the needs both within their campuses and in their local communities.

Similarly at the NC Campus Compact state office, we had to develop new ways to do our work and support the folks in our network. We are proud that we were able to keep moving forward and actually facilitate more programming than in the past few years.  We will draw on the lessons learned to continue to strengthen and deepen our work. Check out our annual Year in Review for highlights from this unique and “Vibrantly Virtual” year!
