The Reunited States Documentary
NC Campus Compact sponsored the viewing of The Reunited States documentary on 20 member campuses the week of February 22. Over 300 students were able to view this film which highlights several Americans seeking to be depolarizers who bridge political and racial divides.
2021 Engagement Award Winners

NC Scholars Recognized Nationally
UNCG’s Dr. Michael Hemphill is the 2020 recipient of the Ernest A. Lynton Award for the Scholarship of Engagement. Dr. Melissa Lyon is the recipient of the Outstanding Student Research Award presented by the Georgia Educational Research Association.
3rd Annual Engaged Scholar Retreat
On October 9th, 25 faculty members – from eight universities and two community partners – attended the 3rd Annual Engaged Scholar Writing Retreat. This event is designed for NC faculty and administrators who are involved in community-engaged research and writing.
#VoteSum20 Virtual Summit Highlights
On September 11 & 12, 169 attendees – representing 21 campuses and 24 voter engagement organizations – participated in the 2020 NC College Voter Summit.
NC Census Fellows Highlights
This spring student leaders from across the state have been working to educate their peers on the importance of the 2020 decennial census, while supporting the greater efforts of the community surrounding their schools of getting a complete and accurate count.
PACE 2020 Focuses on Civic Engagement
This year marked the 23rd annual convening of the Pathways to Achieving Civic Engagement (PACE) conference to advance knowledge and scholarship in the higher education service-learning and community engagement field.
