Partnerships Journal
Partnerships: A Journal of Service-Learning and Civic Engagement was a multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access online journal produced by NC Campus Engagement (formerly North Carolina Campus Compact) from 2009-2020. For over a decade, Partnerships contributed greatly to the higher education service-learning and community engagement field – nationally and internationally – by producing articles demonstrating how theories and practices can inform and improve partnerships, connections, and collaborations between students, faculty, community agencies, administrators, disciplines, and more.

Partnerships Journal Acknowledgements
Thank you to all those who have contributed to and supported the journal over the years, including Appalachian State University, who hosted the journal from 2009 to 2012 and UNC Greensboro who has hosted since 2012. We have to extend our heartfelt gratitude to former Executive Director, Dr. Lisa Keyne, and participants in the Faculty Development Initiative who initially conceived of the journal in 2007 and brought it into fruition in 2009. Thank you also to Dr. Norman Clark, Appalachian State University, who served as the initial “Technical Director” to ensure Partnerships was fully online.
We are especially grateful to our three editors: Dr. Tracy Espy, Pfeiffer University (2009-11); Dr. Beth Warner, Elon University (who helped during the transition); and Dr. Spoma Jovanovic, UNC Greensboro (2012-2020).
